Winner In Entrepreneurship

Prince Holding Group ("Prince Group"), one of Cambodia's largest and fastest expanding conglomerates, is pleased to announce that its Chairman, Neak Oknha Chen Zhi ("陈志公爵"), has been named Entrepreneur of the Year – Conglomerates at the 2021 International Business Awards. Neak Oknha Chen Zhi is the sole entrepreneur recognised in a category honouring executives who oversee multi-industry firms. Neak Oknha Chen Zhi is one of three Asian leaders acknowledged for dynamic entrepreneurialism in many sectors through one of the most difficult years in corporate leadership. Neak Oknha Chen Zhi is one of a new wave of conglomerate CEOs adopting novel approaches to business that also contribute to societal aims.

Furthermore, Prince Group received a Bronze Award in the Most Valuable Corporate Response (COVID-19 category), just three months after winning the finest COVID-19 Corporate Response at the ninth annual Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards in May.

More than 3,800 entries were received for the 2021 International Business Awards from organisations in 63 countries. The Gold Stevie Award for Neak Oknha Chen Zhi in the Entrepreneur of the Year – Conglomerates category and the Bronze Stevie Award for Prince Group in the Most Valuable Corporate Response category were finalised after two months of voting by a panel of 260 professionals and key decision makers from around the world.

Neak Oknha Chen Zhi has asked diverse Group member enterprises to make a difference in the lives of employees, affected communities, and frontline staff during the last year. Neak Oknha Chen Zhi gave US$3 million to the Cambodian government's anti-pandemic operations in March, following a US$3 million donation in December to assist Cambodia in purchasing 1 million COVID-19 vaccines. Neak Oknha Chen Zhi also requested that the Group organise numerous rounds of COVID-19 immunizations for its 3,500+ employees as soon as possible.

Neak Oknha Chen Zhi recently signed a long-term partnership agreement with Caring For Cambodia, a leading education charity focusing on underprivileged students, and the Group will sponsor Career Preparation, an initiative aimed at assisting over 3,000 students in navigating the uncertain post-pandemic educational and employment landscape by equipping them with necessary skills and knowledge.

Neak Oknha Chen Zhi has also taken a step toward sustainability by creating Ream City, an 834-hectare coastal development project based on sustainable real estate concepts. Canopy Sands Development (Canopy Sands Cambodia), a Group member, has started construction on the project, which intends to set a precedent in the country by adhering to worldwide standards. Canopy Sands Development will also shortly release its first ecological, social, and governance report.

In an era when major corporations are meeting their social responsibilities, Neak Oknha Chen Zhi and his Prince Group leadership team have been working relentlessly to be a force for good in Cambodia, helping the Kingdom fight the pandemic.
